Dr. Shinta Hernandez

Dean of MC Online and Academic Support, Montgomery College
Director, MOLLI

Dr. Shinta Hernandez is the MOLLI Director and the Dean of MC Online and Academic at Montgomery College. She has worked in higher education for more than 18 years and began her career in higher education as a sociology instructor. She helps to advance work in the areas of online education, open education, social justice, equity and inclusion, professional development, and policy and planning. Prior to academia, she worked in research and public policy think tank organizations in the Washington, D.C. area., focusing on social and education policy. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Wonders Early Learning and Extended Day and the American Red Cross (Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick Counties Chapter).

Dr. Hernandez received a B.A. degree in Psychology from Brandeis University, M.P.P. degree in Social Policy from Georgetown University, and Ph.D. degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland College Park. She received a Proclamation from the Montgomery County Council Government in 2024. She was also the recipient of the Diversity in Business Award (2024) by the Washington Business Journal and was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Maryland (2022) by Women We Admire. Dr. Hernandez was also awarded the Outstanding Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching and Advising from Montgomery College in 2017 and the Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) in 2018. She completed the MOLLI Residential Program in 2019.

 

Dr. Dana Gullo

Associate Dean for Teaching, Learning, and Technology, Cecil College
Co-Curriculum Developer and Co-Facilitator, MOLLI

Dana Gullo serves as the Associate Dean for Teaching, Learning, and Technology at Cecil College. With over 28 years of experience in higher education, she specializes in instructional design and online learning. She holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership & Innovation from Wilmington University and is a proactive change agent leading Title II compliance initiatives and facilitating the transition to advanced learning management systems like Canvas. Her research and advocacy center on digital accessibility, AI, and working to ensure inclusive and equitable access to educational resources for all students. She completed the MOLLI Residential Program in 2023.

Dr. Marjorie Rawhouser

Retired, Assistant Dean of Transfer Studies, Anne Arundel Community College
Operations Coordinator, MOLLI

Marjorie Rawhouser has over two decades of experience in higher education.  She recently retired from Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) where she was an engineering faculty member and Assistant Dean for Transfer Studies and Achieving College & Career Advancement.  In this role, she coordinated support for approximately 2000 students in AACC’s largest transfer program and oversaw AACC’s student success courses.  She co-authored a study on the impact of student success courses on retention rates, and has continued to advocate for these courses.
Before joining AACC, Dr. Rawhouser served as a program coordinator at ITT Technical Institute in Harrisburg, PA, and worked in medical device research and development at Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center and at ABIOMED, Inc. (Danvers, MA).  Her twenty-six years of active and reserve Navy service includes various roles in operations, communications, engineering leadership, and emergency management.  She served in Baghdad as a liaison to the United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq in 2006-2007.
Dr. Rawhouser earned a B.S. in systems engineering from the US Naval Academy and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in bioengineering from the Pennsylvania State University.  She has authored or co-authored numerous journal articles in the areas of circulatory support systems, engineering education, and student success. She completed the MOLLI Residential Program in 2017.

Tia Roebuck

Distance Learning Program Coordinator, Montgomery College
Public Information Coordinator, MOLLI

Tia Roebuck currently serves as the Distance Learning Program Coordinator at Montgomery College, where she works with faculty to enhance and ensure the quality of online courses. With 25 years of experience in higher education, Tia brings extensive expertise to her role. From a young age, she held various leadership positions and served as a mentor – experiences that helped shape her cooperative approach. She continues this commitment by supporting educators in their professional growth and development. Prior to joining Montgomery College, Tia spent 12 years specializing in distance learning and supporting online faculty. Tia holds a BA in Journalism with a concentration in public relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Fred Stemple

Associate Professor of Biology, Garrett College
Team Project Coordinator, MOLLI

Fred Stemple is an Associate Professor of Biology at Garrett College and serves as the Team Project Coordinator for MOLLI. With over 30 years of full-time experience in higher education as both an administrator and faculty member, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his roles. He previously retired as Associate Vice President from Tidewater Community College in Virginia and now continues his academic career in Maryland. His professional background is rooted primarily in the two-year college sector, complemented by long-standing collaborations with four-year institutions, public school systems, and various community and business partners.
