Introduction

This textbook offers just enough information to introduce and review technical communication and information design concepts and prepare students to apply them as they solve communication problems within their chosen profession or field of study.

Specifically, this text was created to help students at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) meet learning objectives in TCID 3080, a course that introduces undergraduates to technical writing concepts and asks them to apply those concepts in a variety of contexts, from designing a flyer for a specific audience to writing performance assessments in the workplace.
