Part III: Acquiring Knowledge about Existing Curricula and Models of Instruction

By exploring diverse samples of existing curricula, at local, state, and national levels, and becoming familiar with the varied roles of those designing and implementing American curricula, the complexity of the developmental and implementation processes is more apparent. This examination helps with understanding the impact of educational policies and standards on both written (overt) curriculum and subsequently on teaching and adapting to the needs of all students. In addition, exploring research, strategies, and technologies maximizes learning.
