As a class discussion or breaking students into smaller groups, list which risks are reduced by properly searching and yielding for the driver, vehicle and environment

Driver Risk:

  • Driver doesn’t see oncoming or crossing vehicle traffic

Vehicle Risk:

  • Crashes

Environmental Risk:

  • Vulnerable Roadway Users are not observed
  • Path restrictions are not observed like potholes, congestion, etc
