To-Do | Content/Student Playbook Page: 16 (45 Minute Lesson) |
Introduce Lesson One and motivate students
A reference point is a place on the vehicle that you see in relation to the roadway which allows you to precisely place your vehicle in any location
Use your fringe vision to see the reference point and with your central vision look to your target area and the area around the target area
Blind areas are the areas around your vehicle that are not visible in the mirrors. Blind areas create an optical illusion that makes the vehicle seem larger than it really is. Reference Points help you place your vehicle in the correct position.
Reference Points PPT- Blind Areas, Reference Points and Transition Points will be discussed with examples
